We walked to the local post box and we posted our letter! Kate took pictures of Bruno getting his post from us. He was very happy to get lots of letters from Junior Infants!!
At the Restaurant
Our Aistear theme for February was 'At the Restaurant'. We became waiters, waitresses, chefs and customers in the restaurant. We made yummy treats out of playdough for our teddies and we had a teddy bear's picnic in our classroom. We designed our own pizzas using our cutting and sticking skills. We even made our own delicious sandwiches in the staffroom! We also drew beautiful still life pictures of fruit.

Creating Our Self-Portraits
We have been talking about how we are all different and that's what makes us special. We talked about how we all have different coloured hair and eyes and we all like different things. We made beautiful self-portraits using crayons, wool, crepe paper, sequins and PVA glue. We had a lot of fun creating our self-portraits and they are all different, just like us!
Funky Fingers Stations
We are working on building the strength in our fingers so that they grow nice and strong. We did our funky fingers stations today. We spent five minutes doing each activity. The stations were threading, making cube towers, connects, peg boards and links. Each activity helped us to make our fingers grow strong!
