Wednesday Walk 

Weaving 

We have been learning all about schools in the past and how the girls long ago learned to sew and weave while the boys played football. We decided to all give it a go! 

Calendar - Maths

We have been learning all about time this week and how important the calendar is for keeping track of important days. We filled in our own calendars for the month of October with some important dates to remember.

Hot chocolate 

The boys and girls got to follow their own hot chocolate recipes this week. We were working really hard at describing the steps using lots of detail so that we can use these recipes whenever we want to make some hot chocolate again. Well done boys and girls!

Self Portraits 

We made some fantastic self-portrait art using the shade and light from our pencils. We experimented how dark and light the lead in our pencils can go on a strip of paper first before drawing 

Piet Mondarin Art 

In Second Class we have been learning lots about lines, angles and using our rulers. We looked at and responded to the work of Piet Mondarin who also uses straight lines and shapes for his art pieces. 

Family Trees 

We've been learning all about family trees and creating our own unique trees to represent our families!
