Book Week was filled with so many exciting activities. We had Storytime, D.E.A.R time and a Book Fair. We EVEN wrote our own books and designed their covers. We loved Dress-up Day. We dressed up as our favourite characters from a book. We worked hard with our parents to make fantastic, imaginative costumes. It was SO much fun.

Catholic Schools Week
During Catholic Schools Week and in Preparation for our First Penance, we heard all about the tax collector Zacchaeus. We wrote our own newspaper article about Zacchaues for the Jericho Times. We learned that God forgives us our sins - even when we haven't been very nice to others!
We learned all about the life of the author Hans Christian Andersen. We loved reading the stories that he wrote, especially the Ugly Duckling.
Last week we learned all about the artist Picasso and how he made faces look funny by putting bits where they shouldn't be. We had lots of fun creating our own colourful pictures using oil pastels. We think they look great!
